Opportunity | A very important event is currently happening to the Western civilization. It is in fact the one thing that can actually save the Western civilization and will make it great again That thing is the end of neocolonialism. One of the indomitable truths that any biologist can tell you is that parasites do not achieve anything. Parasites do not even evolve because they don't need to. The struggle for life is necessity and necessity creates function. However the needs of the parasites are actually smaller than the needs of any sort of species or in our case society that actually builds things for itself. The parasite just needs to be able to steal. We note this very clearly in all the parasitic pillaging societies of the world It's easy to be a parasite. Some would say that it is even profitable. For some strange and bizarre reason northern Europe still has a bizarre obsession with the cult of the Vikings but the truth of the matter is the Vikings didn't really achieve anything .They didn't have a great civilization they didn't have anything but the dubious claim of having reached North America earlier than others but that's it. They didn't build amazing buildings because they didn't need to. They didn't have advanced metallurgy because they just stole it from someone else, because most of what they needed they pillaged, they stole and because they stole it they didn't actually achieve anything And that's the problem This is basically why the Vikings disappeared. All it took to conquer them was for one king to be converted. As it turns out they didn't really have anything special not even their own written culture The runes were mostly ceremonial and they did not actually have a lot of written documents. Everything we know about Viking lore and mythology and civilization we literally know because a couple of hundred years after their disappearance a Christian historian by the name of Snorri Sturluson actually decided to write down whatever it was that he remembered his grandmother telling him. That was it. When we look at the state of the Western civilization today we are noticing that it has not just stalled. It has decayed and this is a very serious problem. We stopped making things. we stopped innovating and right now the West is literally a backwater and nothing more. Because when you don't work with things then you are not going to find opportunities to invent and innovate. Right now there are several countries that are ahead of us scientifically and technologically. Russia has a vaccine for cancer . India is building a whole new processor architecture. China has managed to create an artificial sun that can actually stay stable for almost an hour. All of these things are things that we can't even dream in the West. This is what colonialism has stolen from us We got lazy and precisely because the heirs of the Vikings, which hilariously enough are not the Norse but the Anglos, have decided to continue with that culture of theft and pillaging, we got infected with that virus of laziness. We stopped doing things. We stopped making things we just became thieves, pillagers, parasites. And funny thing about parasites they may not realize it but they actually live at the mercy of the host. Larry Niven has a book in his Known Universe series that's called World of Ptavvs. I recommend you all read it. It is the memory of a parasitic species who conquered the galaxy because they’re capable of taking over the mind of slaves. They enslaved creatures significantly more inventive, more capable ,smarter than they were and they lived very well off it. They lived incredibly well off it. They became a spacefaring species despite the fact that they were a small primitive species that didn't even have a differentiation between mouth and anus. tTey became an interplanetary civilization because they managed to enslave more advanced species However they still lived at the mercy of their hosts and yes the hosts knew what was happening. The advanced species they were enslaving eventually figured it out. And since they couldn't get rid of them peacefully they literally staged a revolt and the parasites responded with a mass suicide event. And the character that tells us what happened ,who was in stasis when the whole event happened and was discovered 1 billion years later, wakes up to discover that not only have the slaves evolved and formed their own civilization but nobody remembers his own race. It doesn't matter, his own species has disappeared and he has no idea what he's doing. His only hope is to recover a powerful tool of his of his ancestors of his people and hope he can enslave the whole galaxy with it and that's it, This is who we are now, this is what we are now. The West… we have just been keeping everybody else living in fear of us while we became stupider and weaker and now, well now we no longer have the technological advantage that kept us in charge and now the slaves are gone And there are a lot of people who think this is the end of Western civilization because they're stupid. The truth of the matter is the Western civilization isn't dying now, the Western civilization died the moment we thought we were too good to work and to create for ourselves. What we are witnessing right now is not the end of the Western civilization. It is the opportunity to become once again a culture that can not only dream of the stars but build means to get there. A civilization and a culture that thrives on beauty and creation not on theft and violence and laziness. We sold our future, we sold our soul we sold our posterity for laziness and for cheap trinkets made by people who really really really really hate us. Well guess what? we have a chance of getting them back and yes that involves actually having to work again. That involves going back to hardship. The Western civilization wasn't shaped by laziness, wasn't shaped by living an easy life. Europe is a hard place. Europe is a place of harsh winters, a place of predators, a place where you have to fight to stay alive. That's what made us the dominant culture on this planet and if any European culture and European country wants to go back to being that then it better fucking have some hardship again. it better remember how to fight .it better remember how to think. it better remember how to build. This is an opportunity because hardship is always an opportunity. Because you can't make steel without actually dunking a hot blade into cold water. The dark years are here it’s very likely that anybody who's alive now, maybe except for very young children will have the opportunity to see any sort of good days coming back but that's okay . They will be able to build a better future and they will have the memory of our mistakes and that will make them better people because civilization is also a whore who needs to be bedded on mountain of corpses |
